When it comes to the genre of horror, comedy has been one of the better additions to the genre in its history. Big movies like Scream or Cabin in the Woods have left their place in horror history as cinematic legends, but there is much more to meets the eye when talking about the combination of horror and comedy when it’s brought to the big scream.
When it comes to horror, comedy has been an amazing medium to amplify and expand the possibilities of the different forms of comedy through a unique genre of film called Parody. Parody is a branch of comedy in the film landscape that has gotten quite popular in the past two decades due to movies such as Scary Movie, A Haunted House and many other comedy classics.
